Via ferrata is a path used to climb a mountain with a safety system permanently installed. It gives the chance to people without any experience in climbing, the opportunity to move through spectacular mountain scenery using a minimum of equipment. Via Ferrata is the name used to describe the high paths founded in the Alps, using fixed cables and iron ladders to climb difficult sections (Another name is Klettersteig).
A zip-line (flying fox, foefie slide, zip wire or aerialrunway) consists of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline. It is designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to traverse from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable, by holding on or attaching to the freely moving pulley.
Anyone who is in good health and physical condition is able to do these activities. The minimum age to climb the Sacred Valley via ferrata and try the Sacred Valley Zip-Lin is 8 years old. We reserve the right to admission to determine whether people are suitable for these activities or not. Without exception, the via ferrata climbers and the zip-line clients must always be accompanied by a guide.
We are going to pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8am or 9:30 am from your hotel in the Sacred Valley. We are going to our base and after a safety talk we will start to climb 400 meters of a rock face with via ferrata, metal steps and a life line will assure you 100% of the time. One hour climbing approximately.
You will enjoy a box lunch at the highest point of the circuit and descend ziplining 6 cables from 700 m to 250 m, for a 2400 meters total.
Total time duration: 4 to 5 hours.
